Biography

Dr. Meghann Schenk is an assistant professor in the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University (WSU) School of Medicine. Dr. Schenk completed a BS in biology at the University of Southern Indiana in 2006. She received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as an academic hospitalist in Chicago, Philadelphia and Louisiana before relocating to Michigan. She worked as an academic hospitalist at the DMC working with Wayne State Internal medicine residents. She returned to training to complete a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at DMC/WSU HPM fellowship in 2020. She joined as a member of the Supportive Care team at Karmanos after completing fellowship. She became Associate PD of fellowship in 2022 and assumed the role of PD in 2024.
