Biography
Chih Chuang, M.D., is a Class of 2006 graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine. As a student, Dr. Chuang earned the 2006 Gold Humanism Honor Society’s Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. After graduation, he completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and served as a fifth-year chief resident. He was named Resident Teacher of the Year and received the Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Chuang completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Upon completing his training, Dr. Chuang joined the School of Medicine faculty as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics. He completed the Stanford Faculty Development Program and the Medical Education Research Scholarship Program. He has developed and directed multiple courses at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Chuang is on staff at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Division and is a faculty member of the fellowship training program.
